As prescribed under Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514), it is the general duties for employers and occupiers to provide a safe workplace to their employees or other persons other than his employees (occupant). CHEMSAIN was appointed as the consultant to conduct Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Assessment within the indoor environment of Administrative and Control Building in the premise with reference to Malaysia Industry Code of Practice (ICOP) on Indoor Air Quality 2010.

The main objective of IAQ assessment is to determine the present indoor air quality condition, including identifying potential source of indoor air contaminants within the indoor environment and evaluating the occupants’ exposure level to the specific IAQ parameters established in ICOP and potential health risks associated with any IAQ issues, lastly, I to suggest appropriate control measures to improve the indoor air quality at the place if work.

CHEMSAIN has successfully carried out the IAQ assessment and the report has been submitted to the Department of Safety and Health (DOSH) Malaysia.
