Pusat Hemodialisis Mawar
Pusat Hemodialisis Mawar (Mawar Dialysis Centre) an independent NGO and charitable organization, was set up by the late founder, Dato' Dr. Yeow Chai Thiam. The opening of Pusat Hemodialisis Mawar was officiated by the Fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad on 24th February 1997 with a mission to improve the health and quality of life of people inflicted with kidney disease.
As one of Chemsain’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects which aims to assist and provide services for charitable organisations such as Mawar Dialysis centre, Chemsain laboratory volunteered to provide sampling and analysis for Reverse Osmosis water system for this organisation at no charge. The project involved two branches of the dialysis centres, one located at Serian and the other at Pending, Kuching. Sampling frequency was scheduled 2 times per month and the analysis involved parameters such as Heterotrophic Plate Count, Bacteria Endotoxin Test and chemical analysis such as chlorine, heavy metals, etc.
